  2. Objective • Today we will review 12 power verbs and determine their meaning when placed in a question.

  3. Trace Power Verb! : I can do that ! …Hmmm…that means to follow step by step from beginning to end. 1778 1776 1777 1775 Trace the major events of the American Revolution from 1775-1783. 1781 1783 1779 1780 1782

  4. Analyze Power Verb! : …Hmmm…that means to break it down to figure it out! I can do that ! Analyze the structure of a cell.

  5. Infer Power Verb! : I can do that ! …Hmmm…that means to read between the lines, or to understand what isn’t stated directly. How may the reader infer that the character was angry?
