The Rationale behind the Presentation The aim of the briefing is for the: PCD & MV to understand the successes and challenges the DMV experiences with the implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the DMV and the National Departments and Agencies relevant to the delivery of services and benefits to MVs. DMV Mandate DMV derives its Legislative Mandate from the Military Veterans Act No. 18 of 2011 which is stated as follows: To provide national policy and standards on socio-economic support to military veterans and their dependents, including benefits and entitlements to help realise a dignified, unified, empowered and self-sufficient community of military veterans.
