  2. Research 1 RESEARCH The UW receives the most federal research funding of any public university in the United States. UW research funding totals over $1-billion per year. Fall Workshop 2004

  3. Lance Armstrong Research Facilities Lance Armstrong and several of his sponsors used the UW’s historic Kirsten Wind Tunnel last December to test things out during his yearlong preparations for what turned out to be his record setting 6th consecutive Tour de France win. Fall Workshop 2004
