Aesop's Fables הקדמה- משלי איזופוס הנושא שנבחר לעבודה עם 8 תלמידי קבוצת דוברי האנגלית בכתות ד' הוא: משלים, בדגש על משלי איזופוס. המשלים קצרים בארכם, נושאי מוסר השכל ותואמי גיל וחווית תוכן עולמם של הילדים. המשלים מורכבים מדמויות שהן לרוב חיות. האנלוגיות למציאות מזמנות דיון בע"פ ובכתב, ומזמנות רפלקציה, מעורבות רגשית וכן, יכולות חשיבה הכוללות את כל רמות החשיבה, ועד לחשיבה מסדר גבוה. כאשר מופעלות מיומנויות חשיבה מסדר גבוה (HOTS- high order thinking skills), מתאפשרת הבנת מוסר ההשכל, הסקת מסקנות וחשיבת ביקורתית. מכאן מתפתחת וכמעט נובעת בטבעיות יכולת החיבור והכתיבה היצירתית. משלים הם ז'אנר משופע במושגים דיכוטומיים אשר לילדים קל להתחבר אליהם: "טוב-רע", "חבר- אויב", "נאמנות- בגידה", וכו'... המשל מאפשר פעילויות שפתיות נרחבות בכל מיומנויות השפה- דיבור, האזנה, קריאה וכתיבה. משימות הכתיבה אליהן נחשפו התלמידים כללו כתיבה פונקציונאלית וכתיבה יצירתית. התלמידים למדו להשתמש במארגנים גראפיים להעצמת תהליכי הקריאה ולארגון הבנת הנקרא. התלמידים נתנו היזון חוזר ומשוב תמידי לעצמם ולחבריהם לקבוצה במהלך תהליך כתיבת המשלים.

Aesop's Fables הקדמה- משלי איזופוס • 4תחומי הדעת המרכיבים את תוכנית הלימודים להוראת אנגלית עמדו בבסיס בניית תוכנית הלימוד לקבוצה בנושא משלים: • אינטראקציה חברתית- תקשור באנגלית בכתב ובע"פ. • נגישות למידע- השגת מידע באנגלית ממקורות שונים. • הצגת מידע ורעיונות באנגלית באופן מאורגן ומגוון בע"פ ובכתב. • הכרה והוקרה של ספרות ותרבות, ופיתוח רגישות לתרבויות שונות. • יעדים: • התלמידים ייחשפו לספרות אותנטית. • התלמידים יכירו את מרכיבי המשל וילמדו על איזופוס- מי היה ומתי חי. • התלמידים יתוודעו לטרמינולוגיה של משלים- דמויות, מחבר, מוסר השכל, האנשה setting , climaxcharacters, author, moral/ lesson, personification • התלמידים יתנסו במגוון של פעילויות כתיבה וכתיבה יצירתית. • התלמידים יתחברו לעולם התוכן האישי שלהם באמצעות קריאת וכתיבת משלים.

Aesop's Fables הקדמה- משלי איזופוס • התלמידים ייחשפו לניסוחים של מוסר השכל ולפתגמים מפורסמים נושאי מוסר השכל. • התלמידים יתוודעו למשלים מקוריים ואותנטיים שנכתבו ע"י ילדים בני גילם מארצות דוברות אנגלית. • התלמידים ינסחו מוסר השכל ויחברו משל למוסר השכל שחיברו בעצמם. • התלמידים יְיַשׂמו שימוש במארגנים גראפיים שלמדו ותרגלו. • התלמידים ישתמשו במילונים אלקטרוניים מקוונים. • התלמידים יְיַשׂמו כללי כתיבה בסיסיים ומתקדמים, בכתיבה ידנית ובכתיבה במעבד תמלילים- עריכה, ארגון פסקה, פיסוק וניקוד, עיצוב. • התלמידים יציגו את עבודותיהם תוך שימוש בשפה דבורה וכתובה. חגית להב

  6. The Monkey and the Owl Author: Yael Stern, 4th grade. One day, (in the afternoon), the monkey was wandering in the wood. A couple of hours later, the monkey saw an owl. The owl was so small, so the monkey started laughing at him. The owl asked him: '‘Why are you laughing at me?'' ''Because you are so small !''Said the monkey. ''It's not my fault'' said the owl. '' I don't care, you are still small !'' Said the monkey, and he just walked away. 1/3

  7. The Monkey and the Owl While the monkey was still thinking about the owl, he saw a chimpanzee, and he didn’t realize why he was laughing at him. ''Why are you laughing at me? I'm not funny!'' ''It's not you, monkey ! These are your feet!'' ''Hey! Leave him alone!'' Said the owl. ''Why? What are you going to do?'' Said the chimpanzee. ''I don't know, but what I do know, is that when you laugh at someone and bug him, you will become a bully. Just because you're insecure. So think twice before you're doing something!'' Then, the chimpanzee just walked away. 2/3

  8. The Monkey and the Owl “Thank-you!'' Said the monkey. ''I will not hurt you ever again!'' ''That’s fine'' said the owl. ''So, do you want to be my friend?'' said the owl. '‘Of course!'' Said the monkey. The Moral: Accept people as they are, or they won't accept you back.3/3 The End

  10. We Love Earth Author: Itay Kristal-Tenembaum, 4th grade. A Fable Starring: the Moon, the Sun, Earth and the Amazing Einstein Once Upon a Time, there was an Earth. In the day time the sun covered the Earth, and in the night time the Moon covered the Earth. One day the Sun was shining bright on the Earth. Up came the Moon and told the Sun "It's my turn." The Sun said: "What do you mean?" "I mean that now it's my turn to cover the Earth!" Said the Moon. "No way, its day time“, said the Sun. "But it could be the first “Total Eclipse“, said the Moon. 1/3

  11. We Love Earth They were arguing for hours. Meantime on Earth, Albert Einstein was thinking: "Why isn't the Sun moving, it's been in that pose for hours. Also, both the Sun and the Moon are in the sky at the same time. Amazing for science! “ Back to the Galaxy. Earth was getting annoyed of them arguing. "Quiet!" Shouted the Earth. The Moon and the Sun stopped. "You don’t need to fight over me". "Moon, do you want to make a Total Eclipse?" The Moon answered: "yes!" "So, I have a solution for you“, said the Earth, "you (the Moon) will cover me for fifteen minutes, then you (the Sun) will cover me until the night and we will continue regularly. We will do this every five years . What do you think? 2/3

  12. We Love Earth "I love it!" - They both said happily. That was the day that the Total Eclipse was born, and since then the Sun, the Moon and Earth were friends! The Moral: If two people want one thing, then they should share. 3/3 The End

  14. The Dog Lies Author: Noia Livay, 4th grade. It was 12 o'clock. There were a dog, a cat and a mouse in Noia's house. The dog thought: "The cat is fat… MMM…" The cat thought: "The mouse is fat… MMM…" The mouse thought: "The cat will eat me, what can I do?“ "Hello cat!" said the dog. "What are you doing?" "I'm good“, said the cat. “Please be my friend“, said the dog. "No! You will eat me!" Said the cat. 1/2

  15. The Dog Lies "I want to show you where the mouse is“, said the dog. "Hello!" Said the dog to the mouse. "Hello dog“, said the mouse. "I know when the cat will eat you“, said the dog. At 5 o'clock, the cat and the mouse thought: "Where is the dog?" The dog lied to the cat and the mouse and he ate them. The moral: Honesty is the best policy. 2/2 The End

  17. Eleven Aliens and a Field Author: Ron Bar, 4th grade. Once upon a time, on Pluto, five aliens were walking on the planet, when they saw a big field with trees and flowers. But another group of six aliens saw it too. The five aliens said: "we saw the field first!" and the six aliens said: “No, we saw it first“. They agreed to make a competition, the two best runners stand at the beginning line, all of the rest aliens count to the start of the race: "3, 2, 1 , go!". 1/2

  18. Eleven Aliens and a Field They started running, but in the end, they reached the beginning lineat the same time. They couldn't agree to share. They started fighting and shouting at each other: “Maybe we can share?" – No!!! They shouted. Then, a weird man came and said to the aliens: "you need to share the field'' Who are you? - I'm a riddle. “We can share”. And they lived in peace for the rest of their lives. The moral: When two want the same thing, they can share. 2/2 The End

  20. The Baby Panda and the Rich Fox Cub Author: Yali Evan, 4th grade. Once upon a time there was an average baby panda and a rich fox cub. They were best friends, but the fox always took a step forward from the panda. One day,at the kindergarten,the panda said to the fox: "That's enough! I can't take it any more!" The fox didn't know what his friend was taking about, and the panda said: "I mean the way you are always taking a step forward". The fox was in shock. No one ever spoke to him like that ever. 1/2

  21. The Baby Panda and the Rich Fox Cub After a couple of days, the fox came to the panda and said: "I am really sorry. I thought about it, and I will never do it again. And then the fox and the panda were best friends. The moral: No matter how rich you are, treat your friends the way they want to be treated. 2/2 The End

  23. The Dog and Its Owner Author: Eddie Murgraff, 4th grade. A dog and its owner went to the beach on a sunny day. When they got there, they went into the water. The dog met a dolphin that said to him: "Dog, you can't go in the water. "Why? Said the dog. "Because I can't walk on the ground, so you can't go in the water. "The owner of the dog said: "Why fight when you can share the water? There's lots of the water! The moral: Maybe you're the only owner, but you can still share. 1/1 The End

  25. Two Friends Author: Lior Schain, 4th grade. One hot afternoon, which makes people mad, two friends saw each other. They talked and talked and then got Very angry at each other. So angry, that one took his gun and shot his friend and killed him. At that night, he saw the ghost of his dead friend in his dream. The ghost asked him why he had killed his friend, and said, that if he does not change, it will come to him all nights and will make his dreams nightmares, and at the days, he will not be able to think about anything, except his dead friend. 1/2

  26. Two Friends He decided not to change, and because he was So sad, he decided to commit suicide, and jumped out from the window. He was begging to go to heaven, but god decided to take him to hell. There, in hell, he had horrible life (actually death), just because he did that horrible thing, which is called killing somebody. The moral: Think before doing. 2/2 The End

  28. Once Upon a Time in a Jungle Author: Abigail London, 4th grade. Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Sam. Sam had a grandfather. Every Saturday Sam would sleep at his grandfather's house. One Saturday, Sam wanted a bed time story. But the only book Sam's grandfather had for children, was an old fables book. Sam hated fables, so he said: “No grandfather! I hate fables! They are boring!” “But if you want a bedtime story, I will have to read you a fable story”, said the grandfather. “Fine. Read me a fable story.” Said Sam. “I will read you my favorite fable, it's about monkeys.” Said the grandfather. So the grandfather cleared his throat, and started reading the fable: 1/3

  29. Once Upon a Time in a Jungle Once upon a time, in the jungle, lived a little monkey named Keeco. His family was very poor. So Keeco needed to go to the king's palace to ask for a job. The king of monkeys was a very mean person, but lucky Keeco, because the king said yes, and Keeco became a servant for the king. Two years later, the king wanted Keeco to bring him tea, in his precious tea cups. Poor little Keeco was very nervous and he accidentally dropped the tea cup. The king was very mad and he said: “Tomorrow, by the rise of the sun, your head will be ripped”! When Keeco's mother, Ariana, heard the king speaking this way to her son, she ran fast and told him that since he was chosen to be the king he was only lying to everybody. “If you are going to be a leader -be a good one!” She said. 2/3

Once Upon a Time in a Jungle From that day the king of monkeys was a king that everybody loved, and were proud of, and the monkey kingdom was the happiest place in the jungle. “Well, did you like the fable?” Grandfather asked. ”Well, I loved it! I should have listened to you.” Said Sam. And from that day on, Sam heard fables every Saturday. The moral: If you are a leader- be a good one, and use your power in a good way. 3/3 The End
