  4. What will we do in this class? • The AP Environmental Science course is a full-year course designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory college course in environmental science. Using an interdisciplinary approach, including biology, chemistry, earth science, social studies, and statistics, students will prepare themselves for the AP examination at Akins High School in May. To reach this goal, students will use multiple practices, such as collaborative group work, lecture, computer simulations, data analysis, and at least 1 full class period of lab and field work a week.
