Family Basics • Families are the basic sustainable unit in any economy • Regardless of scale any economy is a collection of families • Political units are based on geomorphology and economics. In that manner they are tied to families. • Society is viewed as a triad of Family Economy Government Family • Definition — A father and mother living with their biological children in a common household. Any combination, monogamous, polygamous, mail order, arranged, eHarmony, match.com, etc. works as long as paternity is known and biological father and mother raise children together. What doesn’t work is collectivist State oversight and dictates. Any country that has tried to create a political solution to human problems has ended up with concentration camps and gulags — Erin Pizzey
Sex and The Single Girl • Conditions for family evolution Time frame — late in human evolution • Estrus in human females Unlike other mammals human females don’t undergo limited period of ovulation known as “heat” Formation of families incompatible with estrus Ovulation is concealed in human females Continuous receptivity • Why have families? They work! (at least if you want civilization) Increases likelihood of survival for children Provides for mutual protection
Patriarchy vs. MatriarchySocietal Definitions • Matriarchy The matriarchal system: A form of social organization, as in certain primitive tribes, in which the mother is head of the family, and in which descent is reckoned in the female line, the children belonging to the mother's clan. Paternity is commonly unknown in matriarchal societies as females often mate with several males. Not much in between the two • Patriarchy 1. A form of social organization in which the father is the supreme authority in the family, clan, or tribe and descent is reckoned in the male line, with the children belonging to the father's clan or tribe. 2. A society, community, or country based on this social organization.
Matriarchies • Women breed freely with any male • Relationships are open ended • Men care little for children not known to be their own • Many gods and superstitions • No evidence of technological development beyond Stone Age • Little effort made for the common defense and welfare • Current examples: Navajo tribe, inner city ghettos
Patriarchal model for families • In the beginning When civilizations evolved and became stable they adopted a patriarchal family model Patriarchal societies overwhelmed matriarchal societies everywhere they came in conflict • Requirements Unambiguous knowledge of paternity by male Protection and control of children and their mother Female adultery a capital crime in early civilizations and many patriarchal societies today
Advantages of a Patriarchy • Men and women economically bound to one another and their children in a family • Protection of women and children • Help with human children’s long development period and education requirements • Lineage and property rights • Monotheism, logic, mathematics, and reason • Development of technology • Common defense and welfare are central themes

Patriarchal Family Facts • The safest place for a child is with its biological father. • The safest place for a woman is in her home married to the biological father of her children. • The surest way to economic wealth, i.e., shelter and a home, land and food, tools and work, transportation, health, sex, etc., is a stable marriage.
Families — Sea change in Western World • Family concept stable ~10,000 B.P to 20th Century • Beginning circa 1960 The “Pill” “No fault” divorce Neo-Marxist radical feminists objective to return to a matriarchal society Families destroyed through “laws” Adultery no longer a crime In the Western World the traditional family continues to unravel As families deteriorate so does the economy they support
Government Family Regulation Results • Marxism and the destruction of families Lenin - Destroy the family and you destroy society 1918 — No fault divorce in the Soviet Union Ayn Rand — 1957 There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Enemy of the State • Defeat in detail First they take the guns — Lautenberg Amendment, War on Drugs WSJ July 23, 2011 — Citizens commit three felonies a day under plethora of “laws” Under current “laws” a man must be functionally insane to marry and a drooling idiot to sire a child 2010 census shows marriage rate at all-time low
Destruction of families in western world in 20th Century and continuing • 1970 — No fault divorce in the United States — 50% divorce rate, wives now paid if they divorce or children taken away if they won’t • Only ~10% of children are now born into stable family and reach age 18 with their biological mother and father still together • More than 40% of children are now born out of wedlock. Higher percentage in minorities. • To exist in present society single mothers require a collectivist welfare state for support • Paternity is not known for ~30% of children • Adultery no longer a crime • Domestic violence and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) — Since 1994 >32 million restraining orders, ~36 million arrests & 72 million homeless nationwide, and DV is now the most common “crime” in Colorado • It takes a village, i.e., child "protection" services, to raise a child
Family Facts — Unchanged • The safest place for a child is with its biological father. • The safest place for a woman is in her home married to the biological father of her children. • The surest way to economic wealth, i.e., shelter and a home, land and food, tools and work, transportation, health, sex, etc., is a stable marriage.
Restoring Families and Economy • Economic downturn will require individuals to pull back into family units wherever possible • Stop trying to control women by punishing men • Stop passing laws based on emotions and feelings and treating exceptions as though they were the norm • Require DNA paternity test before any child support can be ordered • Do not permit “no fault” divorce when minor children are involved • Restore the marriage contract and eliminate the State marriage license • Limit “domestic violence” to actual crimes of violence rather than add-on charge to any crime • Require due process in order to obtain restraining order
