  8. Student SurveySpring 2006 Item #1 I offer my comments during class more now than I did in high school Item #2My friends in FYE and I discuss class material outside of the classroom.

Some RISE Facts • 51 students targeted for RISE; 41 finished the year • 68.6% of the RISE students were male. • Overall RISE GPA at end of year was 2.10 • RISE students who took their writing companion course in the spring had significantly higher grades overall in the spring term than their RISE peers who took it during the fall.
