Buzz up Your Movie with Flavored Popcorn

A weekend of movies is definitely best experienced when you’re equipped with a favourite beverage and a bowl of flavored gourmet popcorn cradled in your arms. Now, you don’t have to be at the cinema to feel thrilled by a movie, after all if it’s really good, being viewed in a normal TV screen shouldn’t make it any less enjoyable. Naturally, if you’re broke, crashing at home with friends is the best alternative. Why not set up your own little cinema in the living room, cool your drinks, mix up some snacks and even make your own homemade flavored popcorn to get that buzz going.

  1. Buzz up Your Movie with Flavored Popcorn A weekend of movies is definitely best experienced when you’re equipped with a favourite beverage and a bowl of flavored gourmet popcorn cradled in your arms. Tell Me What’s Your Flavour? So you can’t decide the type of flavour your buds are dying for and are just not excited by the traditional barbeque, butter and cheese. Since I can’t decide what new and exciting flavour suits you, here is a list of interesting gourmet popcorn out in the market (and secretly waiting for you in the kitchen to be made) that you might want to try. Sweet and Salty – taken from your sweet cinnamon/caramel popcorns and dashed with a bit of saltiness, just enough to give it a zing. A brain teaser, it gets you pondering if it’s sweet or salty and probably gets you popping for more. Bacon Flavored Gourmet Popcorn As its name suggests, and amazingly, it works so damn well. Chocolate Coated with Almonds –for chocolate lovers who just can’t get enough chocolate and to make it taste even better, it’s tossed with chocolate coated almonds. It’s not hard to imagine that you’re not actually biting down on a bar but on popcorn magnificence. Not surprisingly, this satisfies the pallet greatly. Garlic Cheese – because cheese is too cheesy, and garlic with parmesan cheese has more depth than its

  2. predecessor. Worry not about bad breath, the parmesan keeps the garlic just under control. Chilli – chilli. Just hot, spicy and chilly, for daredevils in the making. Popcorn At Home Let’s assume you decided to live the cinematic experience at home. Making popcorn is easy, you will need kernel corns and they’re available at grocery stores and at most convenience stores. If you have a microwave it would be best to buy microwaveable popcorns and just not attempt to put in oiled kernels on a plate. No, it’s not a bright idea at all. Hands-On Poppin’ If you don’t have a microwave, grab yourself a pot, coconut oil (or butter, lots of butter if you want buttered popcorn) and good old fashioned kernels. Make sure to heat up the pot at medium high and please do cover if you don’t want half your snack ricocheting all over the area. When the popping sounds have stopped for about 8 to 10 seconds it’s time to take the pot off the stove and turn the flame off. Voila, you are the master of popcorns. A Little Advice On Adding Flavour Since making popcorn is so easy, and DVDs can be paused, adding flavour should be the most doable thing in the kitchen right now. If you are deeply interested or mildly enticed on how to make flavored popcorn, you only need to know one thing: seasoning. If you want garlic popcorn, shake some powdered garlic on it. Buttered: melt butter and pour it all over. Chocolate popcorn? Pour chocolate syrup on. Popcorn is easy to coat, flavoured powders are everywhere (mostly in the seasoning section) and should be easy to find. If you want the more exotic flavours like the ones mentioned above, well, that’s what online searching is for. Don’t hesitate or hate, it’s practical and it’s necessary if you are willing to learn the scrumptious secrets. There you have it, there are so many sites to find unique flavored popcorn recipes in, enjoy finding them and if they are hard to understand, which I guarantee aren’t, make your own recipe for a change. Make your marathon or weekend with friends a little snazzier, entice your buds, give yourself some love and get poppin’!
