North Shore Middle School: Home of Champions in East Houston

North Shore Middle School (NSMS), established in 1956 and located in East Houston, is dedicated to fostering well-rounded students in grades seven and eight. Our mission is to prepare students emotionally, mentally, morally, physically, and socially for a dynamic society. NSMS has achieved notable academic progress, going from "Academically Acceptable" in 2007-2008 to "Exemplary" in 2010-2011. We offer diverse programs including athletics, band, choir, and various mentoring initiatives, emphasizing a holistic approach to education.

  3. Located in East Houston, NSMS is one of five middle schools within the Galena Park ISD.Since opening its doors in 1956, NSMS has been committed to academic excellence for grades seven and eight. Recently NSMS has improved from an "Academically Acceptable" campus in 2007-2008, a "Recognized" campus in 2008-2009, and an “Exemplary” campus in 2009-2010, and an “Exemplary” this last 2010-2011 school year.
