  8. Council on Practices and StandardsOur Focus Our main focus with our technical information, in regards to chapters, is to better integrate CoPS into the mainstream of the Society by bringing value to the Membership, Society and the Profession through Councils, Regions and Chapters.

  9. Council on Practices and StandardsOur Focus - Continued Our overall technical focus includes: • Practice Specialties • Branches • Common Interest Groups • Standards Development • Body of Knowledge • White papers and special publications

  10. Council on Practices and StandardsBridging the Gap How do we request to use materials? Contact Society staff. We have never rejected any timely or appropriate request for reprints materials.

  11. Council on Practices and StandardsThe Synergies • Sharing of materials from publications for use with chapters and with CoPS. • Identification of active members to write materials and give presentations. • Identify materials to enhance the ASSE Body of Knowledge (BoK). • Move SH&E forward as a global issue.

  12. Council on Practices and StandardsPresenters and Speakers What about presenters and speakers? • Requests should be made to Society staff. • We will try and find a speaker/presenter. • Leave adequate time to solicit candidates. • ASSE does not reimburse for travel expense or hourly rates. • With adequate notice we can alert CoPS members to speaking opportunities.
