Animal Health Network

The Animal Health Network serves as a crucial communication conduit for the State Veterinarian, disseminating essential alerts about disease and biosecurity concerns to small producers. By leveraging local Extension relationships, it delivers vital information on protecting animals and responding to crises. Feed retailers play a pivotal role in this system by sharing messages with producers. County Extension Agents can engage in three simple steps: recruiting feed retailers, collecting necessary information, and submitting feedback through surveys to strengthen the network's effectiveness.
