  44. Opening & Closing and Lodge Actions R.W. Julius W. Brown Jr. Grand Lecturer

  45. Opening & Closing Your LodgeAnd Lodge Actions By RW Julius W. Brown Jr. Grand Lecturer

  46. The Importance • Nothing reflects more on your lodge than the ability to perform the Opening and Closing ceremonies. It is the first impression the new Master Mason gets when he sits in lodge for the first time and the last thing he leaves with.”

  47. WM’s work with your Officers to be able to open and close your lodge by memory and in a quality manner!. When someone visits our lodges, they judge us by the manner in which we can perform these opening and closing ceremonies and with the way we interact with each other.

  48. Don’t belabor the Opening & Closing Brothers, tell me what is the significance of the Gavel Knocks by the WM, SW, & JW during opening & closing? “Officers, the quicker you get through the opening and closing procedures, the faster you get down to the meat of your meetings and on with your work.”

  49. The Process Why do the Senior & Junior Deacons carry long Staffs? All Officers besides the Three Principle Officers will sit in the Craft until the Worshipful Master Orders with a rap: “Officers take your Stations”

  50. Due Form A Just and Duly Constituted Lodge must always be opened and closed in due form on the Third Degree.
