AFCAT Feb Online, careerairforce.nic.in • India Air Force (IAF) has outplayed AFCAT Application Form 2017. • This notification is official delivered IAF website careerairforce.nic.in. • As per the AFCAT Aptitude Test 2017 Notification, this announcement is based on the premise that post takers shall be selected on the ground of the contractual employment. • Applying procedure is undeniably an online procedure. • The AFCAT 1 Application Form will have to be received from December, 2016. • And the ending date for the payment of the Examination Fee will 29 Dec 2016.

  3. About India Air Force: - • The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. It is the world's fourth largest air force in terms of both personnel and aircraft. • Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict. • It was officially established on 8 October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British Empire and the prefix Royal was added in 1945 in recognition of its services during World War II. • After India became independent from the United Kingdom in 1947, the Royal Indian Air Force served the Dominion of India, with the prefix being dropped when India became a republic in 1950.

  5. Qualification/Age Details: • Flying Branch –Age should lay between to 23 years at the time of course commencement. The candidate must be a Graduate (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. • Technical Branch- The age must lay between 18 to 28 years at the time of course commencement. For details on education candidates can refer to the advertisement. • Ground Duty Branch-The age must lie between 20-23 years for Graduates, 20-25 years for Post Graduates, 20-26 years for LLB (Three year course after graduation) and 20-27 years for M.Ed/PhD/CA/ICWA. For details on education qualification you can refer to the official advertisement.

  8.  Application Procedure for AFCAT Exam 2017  • First, Go on Official Site of website at nic.in. • Then on the home page click on link of Application form: AFCAT Application form 2017 • And then register with Log in ID and password. • Enter details of applicant and fill online form • Then at the end take print out of application form for further use.

  9. AFCAT Exam Structure 2017 • There will be 100 questions in total. For every right answer, the candidates will be offered three marks and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. • The Duration of the examination is two hours. • There will be Four Sections in the question paper- • General Awareness, • Verbal Ability, • Numerical Ability, • Reasoning, • Aptitude Test

Scheme of Syllabus (AFCAT 2017): • General Awareness – Politics, Current Affairs, Culture, Art, Defence, Basic Science, Civics, Environment, Geography, Sports, History etc. • Verbal Ability in English – Antonyms, Testing of Vocabulary, Synonyms, Sentence Completion, Error Detection and Comprehension. • Numerical Ability – Simple Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Average, Simplification and Decimal Fraction. • Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability
