  3. Geography and Location • Eastern Asia, island chain between the North Pacific Ocean and the Sea of the Japan • Coordinates; 36°North, 138°East • They have the four largest islands which are Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, and Hokkaido

  4. Traditional clothes ☆Kimono →we use this in formal event such as coming-of-age ceremony ☆Yukata →we use this in summer party or when we go seeing fireworks

  5. Traditional event ☆Tanabata →Japanese star festival, everyone write down own wish on the paper and hang it on the tree ☆Setsubun →Bean-Throwing festival, we can eat a thick roll sushi, and throw bean

  6. Typical food ☆Sushi ⋯raw fish on the rice ☆Nattou ⋯gluey bean ☆Takoyaki ⋯ball-shaped snack contains octopus inside

  7. Typical food 2 ☆Matcha ⋯bitter green tea ☆Mochi ⋯Japanese rice cake ☆Osechi ⋯Traditional food, various food in the special box

  8. Natural Disaster • 2011 Tohoku earthquake and Tsunami • Magnitude 9.0 and earthquake intensity 7 • Fatalities number is over 15,000
