Spiritual success. Everybody wants to be successful. We can be “successful” in worldly terms, and yet be an utter failure! Mark 8:36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

  2. Everybody wants to be successful. We can be “successful” in worldly terms, and yet be an utter failure! Mark 8:36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

  5. How do we get strong? Nourishment 1 Peter 2:1f Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby Hebrews 5:12f For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
  6. How do we get strong? Exercise Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. James 1:21-25

  14. Don’t turn to the right or left from God’s word. Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Proverbs 30:6 Do not add to His words,       Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar Revelation 22:18f For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Bookof Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The Result Joshua 1:9 …for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Hebrews 13:5 …”I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.
  23. Obey the gospel today! Believe – John 8:24 Repent – Luke 13:3 Confess – Matthew 10:32-33 Be Baptized – Mark 16:16 Be Faithful – Revelation 2:10
