  1. PLWG Report to ROS December 12, 2013 John Moore, PLWG Chair

  2. Voting Item: PGRR033Dynamics Flat Start Cases Preparation • PLWG recommends support for PGRR033 as currently written with no additional edits: • This PGRR adds the requirement to the Planning Guide for ERCOT to prepare all flat start simulations • This PGRR aligns the Planning Guide with the Dynamics Working Group Procedural Manual, Revision 8, which requires ERCOT to prepare all flat start simulations after 1/1/15 • Support for PGRR033 was unanimous of those attending November 22 PLWG Mtg

  3. Update: PGRR028Evaluation of Compliance with Reactive Requirements • PLWG considered issues raised at November ROS Mtg. • Primary concern is appropriate language defining reactive operating range for anticipated future voltage profiles. • After considerable discussion by stakeholders, decision was made to table to allow for additional consideration of how to define operating ranges and assure consistency with other operating guide requirements. • ERCOT Staff (Isabel) and other stakeholders will discuss operating range issues and submit recommended language edits for consideration at December PLWG Mtg.

  4. Active PGRRs/NPRRs Under Consideration • PGRR035 “DC Tie Interconnection Process” • Detail review of PGRR035 was held at November PLWG Mtg • November PLWG Mtg discussion identified issues that require additional consideration and edits to current draft language. • Stakeholder comments on identified issues will be received and considered at December PLWG Mtg with intent to get revised language developed for final consideration at January PLWG Mtg. • NPRR572 “Asynchronous Tie Interconnection Process” • Expect to have NPRR572 assigned to PLWG for review. • NPRR572 language will need to coordinated with final PGRR035 language.
