UKPSF An Opportunity for HE staff • Provides opportunities to demonstrate professionalism and professional standing • Offers national recognition for supporting the student experience • Offers 4 categories of professional recognition:- • Associate Fellow • Fellow • Senior Fellow • Principal Fellow

  4. UKPSF - applications • Reflects the HE culture and ethos • Supports a de-regulated model of staff development of FE as per Lingfield • See HEA’s HE in FE Resources page on work by Grimsby & PETROC • See Exeter Uni ASPIRE example

  5. UKPSF and Recognition • Recognition can:- • Provide post-nominals (AFHEA or FHEA etc) • Meet stakeholder expectations • UKPSF and recognition can be a tool for • strategic staff development and establish • team and institutional credibility

  6. The HEA Services to HE in FE • Colleges with 500 FTE HE numbers can now subscribe • Subscribing colleges have access to:- • Free accreditation service • Reduced fees for individuals seeking recognition • Network/disciplinary group activities and resources • Funding opportunities include T&L development grants, support for seminar/network meetings and travel grants for Fellows for CPD
