Involving students in the operations of academies, such as the Multimedia Careers Academy at Leuzinger High School, fosters student buy-in and ownership while enhancing leadership skills essential for college applications. Establishing a Student Leadership Board similar to a Student Council allows students to contribute to decision-making processes. Participants hold various positions, including President, Vice President, and representatives for different disciplines, promoting engagement and accountability. Meetings and activities organized by the board not only support academy coordinators but also enrich the student experience.
