The giraffe • Giraffes are the tallest animals in the world ! • They like to eat the thorny leaves of the acacia tree. • There arch enemy is a lion . • When a predator comes near the giraffe signals the rest of the heard to start running . • The giraffe can run up to 35 miles per hour, that’s pretty fast!!!!

  3. The giant panda!!! • The giant panda is one of the rarrest mammals in the world. • Of course they eat bamboo and are BIG • There's only about 1000 of them left because they have to live in the wild. • There diet is mostly bamboo, 99% of it intact • They eat a lot and spend 12 hours a day doing it to, talk about a pig!!!

  4. The cheetah! grrrrrr • The cheetah is the fastest mammal on land ,but very lazy! • Cheetahs can reach a speed of 60-70 miles at short distances • Cheetah have excellent eye sight that helps them hunt for pray in the day time . • Sometimes the sly mammal perches up on a rock until a piece of pray comes by and then pounce!!!

  5. Koalas! • Koalas are related to the kangaroo • They are also marsupials • Marsupials have pouches where babies develop! • A koala usually has only one baby at a time. • The baby is called a Joey. • the Joey is about the size of a jelly bean when it is born.

  6. Zebras • Every zebra has a different pattern. • Zebras look at each others strips to to tell them apart. • There are other reasons why zebras have strips.

  7. Compare and contrast • The panda has a diet of bamboo and lives up in trees • The cheetah is the fastest animal on land and is a mammal • A koala is a marsupial and is very endangered and also lives up in trees. • A zebra has stripes and is a mammal and is very unique
