Our 2nd grade curriculum combines engaging learning with real-world experiences. Each day begins with a Morning Meeting, followed by a rich Language Arts block focused on reading, writing, and spelling. Students participate in homogenous reading groups and science twice a week. We also integrate Library and Technology. Notable topics include biodiversity partnered with Meritas School. Social Studies covers cultural studies, immigration, and famous neighborhoods. Field trips to Ellis Island, MOMA, and cultural events enrich our education while skills in math and writing are developed across subjects.
