General information about Glutathione

Glutathione is used to counteract some of the side effects of medical treatments. For example, it is used for the side effects of cancer chemotherapy, including diarrhea, pain, and inflammation within the mouth (mucositis), nervous pain (neuropathy), and muscle and joint pain caused by the medication for Texel cancer.

  1. General information about Glutathione 4/6/2018 Quicksilver Scientific

  2. Glutathione is an amino acid (a building block for proteins), which is naturally found in the body. Glutathione is used to counteract some of the side effects of medical treatments. For example, it is used for the side effects of cancer chemotherapy, including diarrhea, pain and inflammation within the mouth (mucositis), nervous pain (neuropathy), and muscle and joint pain caused by the medication for Texel cancer. Glutathione is also used to protect the immune system and digestive system in people who undergo radio chemotherapy for esophageal cancer. In addition, Glutathione is used to improve recovery after bone marrow transplantation or intestinal surgery, increasing the well-being of people who have suffered traumatic injuries, and preventing infections in critically ill people. Some people use Glutathione for digestive system conditions, such as stomach ulcers, ulcerative colitis, and Cohn’s disease. It is also used for depression, mood swings, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, and improving exercise performance. People who have HIV (AIDS) sometimes use Glutathione to prevent weight loss (wasting by HIV). Glutathione is also used for attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a urinary disorder called Cystinuria, sickle cell anemia, and support for alcohol withdrawal. Glutathione powder can be ordered through most drug providers wholesale. Glutathione for commercial use is done by a fermentation process by the bacteria that produce Glutathione.

  3. How does it work? Glutathione is the most abundant of free amino acids in the body. Amino acids are the constituent blocks of proteins. Glutathione is produced in the muscles and is distributed by blood to the organs that need it. Glutathione can help intestinal function, the immune system, and other essential processes in the body, especially in times of stress. It is also important to provide "fuel" (nitrogen and carbon) to many different cells in the body. Glutathione is necessary to manufacture other chemicals in the body, such as other amino acids and glucose (sugar). After surgery or traumatic injury, nitrogen is needed to repair the wounds and keep the vital organs functioning. About a third of this nitrogen comes from Glutathione. If the body uses more Glutathione than the muscles can do (i.e. in times of stress), muscle mass loss can occur. This may occur in people with HIV/AIDS. Taking Glutathione supplements can help keep the levels of Glutathione up. Some types of chemotherapy may reduce the levels of Glutathione in the body. Glutathione treatment is believed to help prevent chemotherapy-related damage by maintaining the life of the affected tissues. Most elite athletes take Glutathione as a sports supplement after their strong workouts and competitions, as it helps them to a rapid recovery and as a restorative of muscle tissue. Uses and efficacy of Glutathione Pain and inflammation in the mouth, caused by chemotherapy treatments for cancer. Glutathione does not seem to reduce pain and inflammation in all chemotherapy patients, and it is not clear which patients are susceptible to benefit. Some researchers suspect that patients who do not have enough Glutathione to start are more likely to be helped. Some studies are being planned to test this idea. Improve the well-being of people with traumatic injuries, when included in a formula used for nutrition. There is some evidence that Glutathione prevents bacteria from moving out of the intestine and infection from other parts of the body after major injuries. Muscle recovery faster after over-exercising the body/muscles when performing intense exercises or workouts. In addition to improving physical performance. Treatment of weight loss and intestinal problems in people with HIV disease (AIDS) Taking Glutathione orally seems to help HIV/AIDS patients better absorb food and weight gain. Doses of 40 grams per day seem to produce the best effect. Possibly ineffective for: A urinary problem called Cystinuria. An intestinal condition known as Cohn’s disease. Rehydration infants with severe diarrhea.

  4. Insufficient evidence to: Muscle and joint pain caused by the drug paclitaxel (Texel, used to treat cancer) there is some evidence that Glutathione can help reduce the muscle and joint pain caused by paclitaxel. Reducing immune system damage during cancer treatment Research results is contradictory. Diarrhea resulting from treatment with cancer drugs there is some evidence that Glutathione can help prevent diarrhea after chemotherapy, but not all research findings agree. Nutrition problems after bowel surgery (short bowel syndrome) Researchers have studied whether Glutathione combined with growth hormone is effective in the treatment of short bowel syndrome. This combination seems to help some patients who become less dependent on tube feeding. Taking Glutathione alone does not seem to be effective. 1)Depression 2)Cranky 3)Irritability 4)Anxiety 5)Attention Deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) 6)Insomnia 7)Gastric ulcers 8)Ulcerative colitis 9)Sickle cell anemia 10)The treatment of alcoholism 11)Other conditions More studies are needed to be able to pass Glutathione for these uses. Glutathione, side effects and safety Glutathione is possibly safe for most adults and children when taken by mouth, but potential side effects of Glutathione are not known. Adults should avoid using more than 40 grams of Glutathione per day. Children, ages 3 to 18, should not administer doses greater than 0.65 grams per kilogram of weight per day. It is not known enough about the safety of the highest doses in children. Special warnings and Precautions: Pregnancy and lactation: Not enough is known about the use of Glutathione during pregnancy and lactation. Severe liver disease with difficulty thinking or confusion (hepatic encephalopathy): Glutathione may worsen this condition. Do not use.

  5. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) sensitivity (also known as "Chinese Restaurant syndrome"): If you are sensitive to MSG, it can also be sensitive to Glutathione, because the body converts Glutathione to glutamate. Mania, a mental disorder: Glutathione can cause some mental changes in people with mania. Avoid use. Seizures: There is some concern that Glutathione may increase the likelihood of seizures in some people. Avoid use. Moderate interaction: Be careful with this combination Lacunose interacts with Glutathione Lacunose helps decrease the ammonia in the body. Glutathione becomes ammonia in the body. Having Glutathione along with lacunose may decrease the efficacy of lacunose. Cancer medications (chemotherapy) interact with Glutathione. Medications used to prevent seizures (anticonvulsants) interact with Glutathione Medications used to prevent seizures affect chemicals in the brain. Glutathione can also affect chemicals in the brain. By affecting chemicals in the brain, Glutathione can reduce the effectiveness of medications used to prevent seizures. Some medications used to prevent seizures include Phenobarbital, juicer (Mussolini), valproic acid (Epicene), gabapentin (Neuron tin), carbamazepine (Tigerton), phonation (Dilating), and others.

  6. Side Effects Glutathione and disadvantages The reason is because some people do not take into account the side effects are actually side effects at all. This is because the glutathione has a particular side effect “On the body as it inhibits the melanin, causing the skin to whiten. Although this is generally considered a side effect, some people take glutathione for this purpose, and glutathione began to be added to many cosmetic products. The distributors of these products claim that glutathione by inhibiting melanin gives the skin a young person of rose-colored, and also reduce signs of spots and dark spots, and some other things as well. So it all depends on a person's opinion as if glutathione has adverse side effects or not. But what about taking glutathione through supplements in the form of pills and not in a cosmetic product? The glutathione side affects that way too? This is what we will see in the next section. Take some basic information about glutathione to answer this question. Glutathione has been shown in clinical studies to be not very bio-active in the form of supplement, which means that the body cannot absorb much of it in the bloodstream. In fact, some clinical studies have shown that it is impossible to increase glutathione levels just to be taken as a supplement. This is why most of the glutathione supplements will see contains compounds such as alpha lipoid acid and milk thistle, because chemicals such as these have also been shown to increase the levels of glutathione in the body. So you can see below that it is difficult to answer the question of what are the possible side effects of glutathione, because many of those that depend on what other chemicals are taken with it, and what is given by the glutathione. Most people take glutathione for its antioxidant properties. Glutathione is said to be a master antioxidant, being the most abundant antioxidant within the cell. But most of the time, the cell produces glutathione in the ready supply. In fact, every cell in the body is able to create glutathione. It is a very simple compound, which is made of a chain of only three amino acids and very small. Glutathione has also become very popular due to its cleansing properties. It helps detoxify and support the liver, helping to rid the body of heavy metals such as lead and mercury and other toxins. Milk thistle, which is often taken together with glutathione, is also known to be a liver support compound and is often taken by itself for this reason. So it's no wonder that the two compounds are related. If you're worried about the side effects of glutathione, it probably shouldn't be. The reported side effect is only the relief of skin pigmentation. But this is really very difficult to achieve. Those who take glutathione supplements expressly for this purpose often have to take high doses of glutathione in collaboration with large amounts of vitamin C for 6 months before they see any effect. Since glutathione is so abundant in the body and why it is so difficult to absorb through integration, there are no reported side effects when taken at the normal recommended levels.
