Identify Objectives • After this unit, students will be able to • Know that abacus is an old fashioned calculator • Understand that calculating technology advanced over a long period time • Understand the relationship between calculator and computer • Understand people in different culture do things differently • Locate Shanghai in a map of the world • Locate Shanghai in a map of China by identifying its relevant location to Beijing, Hong Kong, Tibet, and the Pacific Ocean.
