Divisibility Rules. Short cuts in division. A number is divisible by 2 if the ones place is even. (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8). A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3. A number is divisible by 4 if the last 2 numbers are divisible by 4.

  5. A number is divisible by 5 if the ones place is a 0 or 5.

  6. A number divisible by 6 if it can be divided by both 2 and 3.

  7. A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 9.

  8. A number divisible by 10 if the ones place is 0.
