Tempest Wireless Intercom ROAMING V1.0
Available Roaming Methods • Manual Roaming • iSelect • Seamless Roaming • Automatic Roaming
Seamless and Automatic Roaming • Uses proven Tempest hardware and Tempest 2.4GHz RF technology • Requires the New ZSync™ Dongle or New ZSync™ Parallel Sync Generator • Can operate in Normal, Split, or Shared Modes
Seamless and Automatic Roaming • Allows users to Roam between multiple Tempest 2.4GHz BaseStations • A minimum of one BaseStation is required for each Zone (with or without a Remote Transceiver) • BeltStations can be individually configured to Roam in up to sixteen Zones • Zones can be defined as one or many different locations
Seamless and Automatic Roaming • Customizable for almost any application • If required, all Users can Roam • Or, some Users can Roam while others remain in a single Zone • You decide which users can Roam, and to which zones they can Roam • Allocate resources only where they are needed
What is a Zone? • Simply one or more areas with Tempest RF coverage • Indoors or outdoors
Tempest Seamless Roaming Examples • Next, we will show you several examples of Roaming applications • Remember, these are just a few of the many ways you can use Tempest Roaming
Tempest Seamless Roaming • 5 Users in Normal Mode • Tempest exactly as you know it, with greater coverage 2 Zone Example with 2 Bases
Tempest Seamless Roaming • 5 Users in Normal Mode • Now with 3 Zones • Greater coverage • Simply and easily 3 Zone Example with 3 Bases
Automatic Roaming Example • Because you cannot always have seamless uninterrupted coverage • Reconnect as soon as you enter the new coverage area 3 Zone Example with 3 Bases
LimitedRoaming Example • 3 BaseStations • All in Normal Mode • 3 Zones • 3 Roaming users • 6 Stationary users • 9 Users 3 Zone Example with 3 Bases and 9 Users
Shared Mode Example • Unlimited Users in Shared Mode • 3 BaseStations • 3 Zones • Maximum of 5 Users talking on one base • Max of 15 Users talking in 3 Zones 3 Zone Example with 3 Bases
Dual Mode Example • 6 bases total • 3 Normal and 3 Shared bases • 5 Normal Mode Users and Unlimited Shared Mode Users • Maximum of 20 Users talking Example with 6 Bases: 3 for Normal Users and 3 for Shared Users
Tempest Roaming Features • No RF expertise needed • Large coverage areas possible with many zones • Overlapping coverage with non-destructive multi-antenna/multi-base capability • Modular • Different users can have different Roaming areas
Tempest Roaming • All Roaming parameters are accomplished in software • Roaming can be configured on-the-fly from the BeltStation • Roaming decisions are intelligent • Selectable sensitivity (bias) for enhanced performance
