  3. Smart Cities • facilitate the transfer of e-Government successes across national borders • identify and support the real transformational impact on local government service delivery • equip decision makers with the knowledge and motivation • iclude national authorities

  4. Smart Cities… • understand which e-services are best and why • reconsider how services are delivered and which channels they should use • reorganise their internal service delivery processes and back office functions • develop a prototype North Sea Region/EU-wide service list

Benefits for KS - and CEMR?(CEMR - Council of European Municipalities and Regions) • In this context, Europe is small • All local authorities offer largely the same services, regardless of nationality • Close cooperation between municipalities in Europe through common organization CEMR • Use of projects for joint benefit
