Literature and Composition Key Concepts and Skills You will learn… • By the summation of the course you should be able to… • Approach a poem, prose work or a play and-proceed beyond visceral and emotional reactions- respond to it analytically and critically, both orally and in writing. • Literary terminology that will give you a strong literary based vernacular • Key concepts to illuminate insight rather than familiarity • Understanding that form follows function • And that how authors write is inextricably linked to what they are writing about.
