  3. Objective: A Best-In-Class Restaurant Range Our Expertise: After spending more than a century tuned-in to the needs of chefs the world over, Garland was inspired to design a range so adaptive and durable, it takes food further. The New Garland Restaurant Range will empower culinary creativity by delivering unmatched performance, flexibility, and ease-of-use. Designed by experts…

  4. Objective: A Best-In-Class Restaurant Range Our Customers: Numerous conversations, questionnaires, and interviews with chefs, owner/operators, sales reps, and service personnel bolstered our knowledge of what our customers really want in their “ideal” restaurant range. • Durable Construction • Reliable Operation • High Performance • Easy to Maintain • Quick, Competent Service A quality product synonymous with the Garland Heritage… …with input from experts…

  5. Thousands of hours of extreme temperature and performance testing… Oven door open/close test; more than 10 years worth, based on 223 cycles per day… Accelerated life testing of controls Objective: A Best-In-Class Restaurant Range Development & Testing: Rigorous research and testing of components, techniques, and materials driving the design process in an all-out quest to produce the best possible result, even under extreme conditions… …and the hard work of Quality.

  6. 27” Features That Matter: The Range Top Expanded Working Area: With a thoughtfully designed cooking area that’s a full 27” deep, the work zone is more spacious than ever before. Larger cookware fits comfortably and is safer to move around the range top. The added depth makes for the coolest plate rail in the industry. Advantages: Ergonomic & Easy to Use

  7. Features That Matter: The Range Top Split Ergonomic Top Grates: Purpose-designed Starfire-Pro reflector bowls maximize burner efficiency and heat transfer to deliver Best-in-Class performance. Cast-in hooded pilot feature shields the pilots from spill-over. Split design means castings are smaller, lighter, and easier to handle during cleaning and maintenance. Pilot Shields Advantages: Ergonomic & Easy to Clean

  8. Features That Matter: The Range Top Starfire-Pro Open Burners: The hottest, fastest Starfire burner ever offers Best-In-Class performance. The exclusive star-pattern head still offers even, energy-efficient transfer, and now lifts off for easy cleaning. This new burner design is the reason Garland’s new range captured the prestigious 2008 NRA Kitchen Innovation Award. Advantages: Performance & Cleanability

  9. Features That Matter: The Range Top Griddles: Griddles are available on all models from 12” to full-width in 12” increments(standard on right side/option on left). Each 12” is powered by an 18K BTU cast “H” burner controlled by one hi/lo valve or super accurate thermostat control. Extra-wide, (4-1/4”), grease trough makes grease management easy and quick. Advantages: Flexibility & Versatility

  10. Features That Matter: The Range Top Griddles: The new “Euro SIT” control used on Garland’s thermostat-controlled griddlesincorporates flame safety technology. Unlike competitive controls that always run on a “low” setting (bypass), the SIT control is snap-acting and adjusts all the way from “high” to “off” depending on the food load and temperature setting. This snap action makes for very accurate temperature control, improved griddle productivity and avoids “heat creep” between high-demand periods. Advantages: Safety & Accuracy

  11. Features That Matter: The Range Top Hot Tops: Hot tops are available on all models from 12” to full-width in 12” increments(standard on left side/option on left). Each 12” is powered by an 18K BTU cast “H” burner, perfect for deep simmer control or range-top holding. Advantages: Flexibility & Space Savings

  12. Features That Matter: The Oven Spacious & Effective: Garland’s largest range-base oven ever loads full-size sheet pans in either direction. Advantages: Flexibility & Space Savings

  13. Features That Matter: The Oven Spacious & Effective: Garland’s largest range-base oven ever loads full-size sheetpans in either direction. The 38K BTU “H” Burner is ported on all sides for Best-in-Class evenness & Best-in-Classrecovery time. Advantages: Speed & Reliabilty

  14. Features That Matter: The Oven Spacious & Effective: Garland’s largest range-base oven ever loads full-size sheetpans in either direction. The 38K BTU “H” Burner is ported on all sides for Best-in-Class evenness & Best-in-Classrecovery time. 3-position rack guides are plated and removable for easy cleaning. Advantages: Flexibility & Ease of Use

  15. Fully porcelain oven interior features ribbed hearth and oven door liner for added strength and lasting functionality. Advantages: Performance & Durability

  16. Features That Matter: The Oven Spacious & Effective: The new oven control eliminates the need for a separate pilot safety valve. Moving that component to the front panel, away from the heat of the combustion chamber improves reliability and increases life expectancy. This combined functionality offers greater control over heat fluctuation and ensures Best In Class evenness and performance. Convection option available, (shown). Advantages: Performance & Reliability

  17. Cooking Without Boundaries: Flame Safety

  18. Cooking Without Boundaries: Flame Safety • Introducing: GF/GFE Series • The same great features and innovations that have already made the G Series Garland’s most successful range line ever. • Full-featured “Flame Safety” (GF) • Full-featured “Flame Safety,” available with electric ignition, (GFE)

  19. Cooking Without Boundaries: Flame Safety • What is it? • Commonly referred to as “Flame Failure,” it’s not as mysterious as it sounds. It’s been a requirement for years on all concealed burners in North America. • It’s already in use in range ovens and thermostatic griddles. • It’s a safety device which ensures no gas can flow to a burner when there is no ignition (pilot) source present. • Already a requirement in many other countries, flame failure systems, (all burners), are gaining acceptance in North America as various levels of government make them mandatory in schools and other institutions.

  20. Cooking Without Boundaries: Flame Safety • How does it work? • A flame safety system consists of a safety valve, a thermocouple, and a pilot flame. • The pilot flame and thermocouple together produce a current, (millivolts), that powers an electromagnet in the safety valve, holding the valve open, and allowing gas to flow. • Should the pilot flame go out, no current is produced, and the magnet releases the valve, allowing it to close and prevent gas flow.

  21. Flame safety system on concealed burners, (griddles, ovens) • Piezo ignition on concealed burners, (griddles, ovens) • Electric spark ignition on all burners • Griddles valve or thermostat controlled • All griddles thermostat controlled • All griddles thermostat controlled • Open burner = 33,000 BTU’s • Open burner = 26,000 BTU’s • Open burner = 26,000 BTU’s • SS, 2-piece backguard & shelf • SS low-profile backguard • SS low-profile backguard • No electrical service required(unless ordered with convection oven) • No electrical service required (unless ordered with convection oven) • Available in 115V/60Hz & 240V/50Hz configurations • No modular tops • 24” & 36” modular tops • No modular tops Critical Differences: Standard Feature Comparison • G Series… • Standing pilots on open burners and other valve controlled burners. • GF Series… • Flame safety system on all burners • GFE Series… • Flame safety system on all burners Advantages: A Global Platform
