  2. Auburn University is the school that I am planning to attend when I graduate high school. My major is Veterinarian Medicine .

History of Auburn University • Auburn University was chartered by the Alabama Legislature as the East Alabama Male College on May 6, 1856, under the guidance of the Methodist Church. • The school opened its doors in 1859to a student body of eighty and a faculty of ten. • The school was reopened in 1866 following the end of the Civil War and has been open ever since.

  4. About Auburn University today • The main campus had an enrollment during fall of 2009 of 24,602. Auburn University offers degrees in 13 schools and colleges at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels. • AU's Technical Assistance Center, a collaborative Engineering / Business outreach unit, performs hundreds of projects annually for state industry, generating millions of dollars in increased efficiencies and saving or creating hundreds of jobs statewide. • Auburn University has developed into one of the largest universities in the South.
