This innovative class structure empowers students to take an active role in their learning by teaching their peers about various databases. Spanning 55 to 80 minutes, the session involves group discussions on key search terms, the fundamentals of databases, and Boolean operators. Each group tackles specific questions and demonstrates their assigned database, enhancing comprehension of library resources. Sample questions encourage critical thinking on relevant topics, while hands-on activities with the library catalog and Academic Search Premier familiarize students with effective research strategies.
