Upcoming Events • Volunteer Events: 50 points (except the Smoke-Out) Sign up for shifts at http://amsahouston.com /events/ • Arts 4 Healing Art (hanging art to raise money for a surgical mission to Vietnam) – Feb 22nd(4pm to 9 pm) • Art with Heart (many volunteer positions)– March 1st(4pm) • CPR Training with Baylor College of Medicine– March 1st(10 am to participate; 12 pm to volunteer) • Bake Sales:50 points for volunteering and 15 points for each item donated (maximum 5) • March 24th(9 am to 4 pm) PGH • Events: 50 points • Feb. 26th with AHPS – Associate Dirctor of UTSW Admissions talk • March 22nd – 2014 UTMB Pre-Medical Conference “So You Want To Be A Doctor: What Happens Next?” March 22nd(8:30 am to 2:30 pm)50 points • Interview, application, and personal statement workshops. • UTMB led tour + TAMU-AMSA chapter will join us! • Feb 24th – University of Houston Health Professions Fair (9 am to 2 pm) • Feb 26th – Suture Clinic with UTD-AMSA chapter

Medical Missionary Trip! • Go to Cancun, Mexico with UHD-AMSA chapter members! • May 17-25th • $1595 (not including airfare)! • Provide medications and health services in underserved urban and outlying Mayan communities. Our global health teams set up field clinics and work with local, licensed medical professionals to provide basic health care in these underserved communities.
