  3. Teaching English in Costa Rica • Teaching English to both students and teachers • Assisting with lessons and plans • Teaching extra circular activities (music, sport, art etc) • Tourism plays a major role in Costa Rica’s economic development

  4. The Importance of Education • Education is the most powerful tool to reduce poverty and inequality • Education allows people to share opinions, ideas and create choices • Literacy levels in Costa Rica are at an all time low • Striving to achieve millennium development goal number 2 and adhere to article 26 in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

  5. Application Process • Complete an online application. • Review of my application by GVI coordinator. • If accepted GVI will assist in my preparation of my project before departure.
