  2. 10 Safety Don'ts • Don’t put anything on the internet you don’t want seen. • Don’t meet up with anyone that you met online. • Don’t put any identification on the internet. nothing is private on the internet, no matter what settings you put on your facebook. • Don’t post any pictures of yourself that you wouldn’t like you mom, teachers or anyone else to see. • Don’t download content without parent permission. • Don’t share your password with anyone but your parents. • Don’t disable and security settings. • Don’t respond to creepy messages. Tell a parent right away if you receive any. • Don’t fill out in fun questionnaires, even if emailed from a friend. • Don’t hide anything from your parents. If you wouldn’t tell your parents what you are doing, then don’t do it on the internet.

Tips for what to do if you feel Threatened or scared. • If you are being Bullied or Threatened, keep a record of what they said with the times and dates. • Tell a parent or teacher immediately • Don’t reply to bullying messages. • Change your contact information.   6. HCS computer/ internet use policies • The reason there is a technology environment is to support educational and instructional endeavors. Using these computers are a privilege and come with consequences if rights are violated. • Students are not allowed to access any programs, data, or user area not assigned by network manager. • Students are not allowed to download or install a program with out written permission. • All students are allowed to use school-installed programs, and allowed to delete only their personal data or documents. • All other forms are prohibited • Student Code of Conduct pg 48-49
