  2. There will be an enhancement to the NASA Form 1735 in SATERN and a change to the External Training Process in early 2007. This presentation will give you the details on what is changing and what you need to know...

Update to External Training • Copy Functionality: • The External Training Request Form, NF-1735 now has a copy functionality to duplicate a form used in the past. • Evaluations: • After you attend External Training, you will receive an email with a link to an online evaluation form to close the process. Continue to learn more about these features

  4. NF-1735 Copy Functionality SATERN can create a copy of an External Training Request Form (NF-1735) that was submitted in the past. How does this help you? • SAVE TIME • Resubmit changes without filling out the whole form • NO DUPLICATION OF DATA ENTRY • Information that is the same does not have to be re-entered

  5. Here’s how you do it:

  6. After you complete and submit an NF-1735 Form for External Training…

  7. You will be able to reuse or resubmit the form using the new “Copy Request” button.

  8. When to use the copy function • To correct data • Sample scenario: You submitted an NF-1735, but the Supervisor in your Learner Profile was incorrect at the time you submitted the form.  Instead of redoing the entire form, you can withdraw the request, change your Supervisor in your Learner profile to the correct Supervisor, and then use the Copy Request button to re-submit the form.  • To use for similar training events • Sample scenario: You are taking several courses at a university. Since each course needs an NF-1735, use the Copy Request button to retain similar information and edit specific course data.

  9. Update to External Training • Copy Functionality: • The External Training Request Form, NF-1735 now has a copy functionality to duplicate a form used in the past. • Evaluations: • After you attend External Training, you will receive an email with a link to an online evaluation form to close the process.

  10. External Training Evaluations • After you attend External Training, you will receive an email with a link to an online course evaluation. • As a learner, you must complete this evaluation to receive credit for the course in your SATERN learning history.
