Founded in 1999 by Stuart Feldman, SIGecom is a premier community dedicated to advancing electronic commerce, combining computing technology with economic understanding. With 453 members and rigorous technical standards, SIGecom bridges the gap between disciplines, offering a platform for top researchers in theory, AI, and ecommerce. The annual ACM Conference on Electronic Commerce promotes informed development in commerce automation. The organization also publishes 'SIGecom Exchanges', an electronic newsletter, to share research insights thrice a year.
