  2. IEEE Sections Congress is the opportunity for IEEE volunteers from around the world to participate in a truly unique event. The congress provides the attendees to increase their leadership skills and to gain a working knowledge of IEEE. • It is also a venue to express concerns and opinions through the recommendations process. The recommendations, that the Section Delegates vote on, are then used by the IEEE Board of Directors to guide IEEE into the future.

  6. Sections Congress 2014 Logistics • All sections are requested to participate by sending primary delegates, speakers and issues/concerns to be taken for voting during SC2014. A separate announcement with details will follow in due course of time. • Sections are advised to keep sufficient funding aside to send their primary delegates to the Congress. • IEEE HQ and R10 will also provide some support in favour of primary delegates and details are will be worked out depending up on the availability of fund at R10 and support given by HQ to Regions. These details will also be communicated to Sections as we come near to the dates of the Sections Congress 2014.

  7. Sections Congress 2011 Recommendations Update • The Primary Section Delegates voted on the IEEE Sections Congress 2011 Recommendations during the Closing Ceremony on Monday, 22 August 2011. • The poster session in the foyer is displaying the top 5 recommendations and their current status.
