ID Card Fee How do students benefit from this fee? Students are able to use their UTSACard for: • Identification • Access to Facilities and Resources • Payment Using Rowdy Dollars at many locations on Campus • UTSA Residential Meal Plans • Printing in Computer Labs, Recreation Center, Wellness Center, Copiers, Food Venues and Library • Access to Athletic Events
ID Card Fee FY09 & FY10 Highlights • The fee funds the UTSACard Office, its employees, hardware & software that control the system • Major software upgrade increased reliability and offers expanded capabilities for the future to include web access to accounts, new methods to deposit funds, and other updates as they become available • Value Stations and various Points of Sale around campus will be upgraded to increase reliability and replace devices that are no longer supported
ID Card Fee Plans for the Future • The UTSACard system is proprietary to Cbord, Inc and as such requires regular upgrades to keep pace with industry security standards and functionality needs • Expanded offerings to Students as developed by Cbord • Improved customer experience in the new lobby ; designed for maximum efficiency • Continue to assist during Freshman Orientation, serving five (5) students per minute during peak times and providing an expedient yet informative encounter
ID Card Fee Concerns and Changes The UTSACard Office does not anticipate requesting a fee increase in the near future. We use creative methods to control costs.
