  2. Introduction You have just been hired by the Chinese government. The Chinese have a challenge for you ,“Can you come up with an ad campaign to increase the tourism to the Great Wall ?”

  3. Task Your task is to create an Ad Campaign for The Great Wall. This should be in the form of a Glogster. List new events/features at The Great Wall you could add. You are to work in groups of three.

  4. Resources • Paper and Pencil • Computer with internet • Social Studies Textbook • Flip Camera • Glogster account login • Glogster example

Why was The Great Wall built? Who built The Great Wall? Did they finish The Great Wall? What is unique about The Great Wall? How long is the Great Wall and where is it located?

What activities could be included to increase tourism? How can the local businesses help or community?

  7. Process III Step 4: Design an ad campaign to help increase tourism. Are there changes that need to be made to The Great Wall? What extra activities could you add to increase tourism. Create a glogster to showcase all the features you need for your ad. Establish roles of each group member. 1. Include 3 graphics. 2. Insert a video of you group campaigning for you ad. Use a flip camera to film a short commercial of your ad campaign. 3. List features or activities you will add to The Great Wall. 4. Make you list all your members on the Glogster 5. Be creative and make it colorful! Step 5: Share Glogsters with others.

  9. Conclusion Congratulations on creating a very exciting Glogster on your Ad Campaign. The Chinese government appreciated all your hard work and hope more people will be visiting their Great Wall soon! Your Glogster will remind them to visit and keep them there with new activities or changes.! Thanks for your creativity!

  13. Teacher Page Students will be exploring Ancient Civilizations in Social Studies and reading about these prior to this project. They will read in their social studies text book about Ancient China. Then they will complete this Web Quest to gain valuable information about traditions of cultures an how to integrate these in modern day society. An extension of this project would be to explore the religions of the Chinese and create Prezi presentation on the different religions.
