  4. Overall Objective To contribute to the sustainable development of the Romanian-Bulgarian cross-border region, thus introducing new cooperation models and partnership platforms

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES • to establish the necessary framework for the joint integrated development of the Ruse-Giurgiu cross-border region • to build the image and unique identity of the Ruse-Giurgiu euro -region in view of promoting it to strategic investors • to build common priorities within the future development policy for Giurgiu and Ruse, in order to better use the resources • to create a specific profile of the cross-border region and to offer the most suitable solutions in different field, such as all types of infrastructure and general services

Expected Outputs • Support for cross-border business infrastructure development and promotion of cooperation • General networking to promote foreign investment and a positive regional identity and image • Promotion of cross-border tourist networks and diversification of existing cross-border tourist services • Promotion of co-operation between universities research institutes and businesses in the field of R&D and innovation • Joint marketing and promotion of cross-border products
