Understand Key Terms Prejudice A negative feeling, opinion, or attitude based on someone’s race, religion or background Some jurors think the boy is guilty because he is Latino and lives in the slums Synonyms: preconception, intolerance, bigotry Antonyms: fairness, justice, respect, tolerance Prejudice – ‘Twelve Angry Men’ is about the struggle for justice to overcome prejudice. Prejudices – The jurors in ‘Twelve Angry Men’ let their personal prejudices affect their decision about the boy’s guilt. Prejudiced – Juror Three is prejudiced towards teenagers because of his troubled relationship with his own son.
