How Communities In Schools Transformed My Learning Journey

In my experience with Communities In Schools (CIS), I've found a path to academic success and personal growth. CIS supports students like me in improving skills in subjects such as math and reading, which is crucial for many kids in the U.S. With the help of CIS, I have seen a significant boost in my grades and confidence. My teacher, Mr. Hardy, helped me discover CIS when I struggled with math. Through the guidance of Ms. Henderson, I learned to set goals and believe in myself. CIS is a valuable resource for all kids seeking to realize their potential.

  2. What is CIS? • CIS means Communities In Schools

  3. What CIS means to me ? • To me CIS means to help kids get better help with common subjects like for the following : Math and Reading because many kids in the U.S have many skills that they still need to work on.

  4. How I have changed? • I have changed with CIS. I am getting better grades and also am more confident in myself in any skill or just any thing I need to do to get farther in life .

  5. Why is CIS right for other kids? • I believe that CIS is right for others because they can see the same skills in themselves that I see.

  6. What made me go to CIS? • My teacher Mr. Hardy was doing some problems on the board I felt good about it but every time I did them I always got them wrong. So I asked him can he find me some help with math. Then I found CIS, I was happy because now I really can pass and be smart at my skills.

  7. Ms. Henderson • When I found CIS I didn’t know who would be helping me or anything. Then that’s when I met Ms. Henderson, she was very nice we had so much in common and we talked about my careers and things I need to do to achieve in life and be the best I can be .
