  2. What will be on the ballot? Four-year Replacement Educational Programs & Operations Levy (Current levy expires end of 2014) Provides for nearly 24% of the district’s 2013-14 operating funds February 11, 2014 Election

What’s the difference between a Bond and Levy? • Definitions: Bonds are for Building and Levies are for Learning • Bonds: State does not provide full funding to provide facilities for learning • Levy: State does not fully find education • Levies provide the funding necessary for maintenance and operations of programs that directly effect teaching and learning • Levies need to be renewed at the end of their term which can run 1-4 years

  5. What is included in this measure? Four Year Levy Collection Yearly tax rate: $3.87 per $1,000 assessed valuation Replaces expiring levy approved in 2012 Provides 24% of district’s 2013-14 operating budget

What is included in this measure? • Helps pay for student programs such as: • Programs to reach academic standards • Instruction, supervision, and safety • Support and training for our quality teachers and staff • Activities (Sports, drama, and music etc.) • Books and learning materials • Technology, transportation, and facility upkeep

  7. Remember: Bond is for Building Levy is for LearningSo….$100,000.00 Home @ $3.87 per $1,000would equal $387.00/year or $32.25/month or $1.07/day
