  2. Using the outdoors to motivate our youth in making positive choices

  3. Our Goal Our goal is to be a means of rewarding young people for making wise choices at home and school. We hope to teach the beauty, excitement, and stress-relieving benefits of outdoor activities.

  4. We believe that an active outdoor lifestyle is a great alternative to the pitfalls that many young people encounter.

  5. GSYC Activities Potential activities may include: camping,hiking,backpacking,canoeing, kayaking, rafting, fishing, snorkeling and other fun, interesting activities. You are about to see a slide show of actual GSYC activities and events.

  8. GSYC • How do I become a camper? • Youth Campers are accepted by invitation only. Campers need to demonstrate good citizenship and the ability to get along with others.

  10. How much does it cost? There are NO dues! It only costs for the event, usually only for the cost of food and any admission fees for special events. Campers can pick and choose which events that they wish to attend or that they feel they can afford.

  12. We visit historical sites, archaeological sites, interpretive exhibits, museums, gardens and other places of interest.
