  3. Bonnet Carré Spillway • 300,000 visitors during 2007 • 3 Partnerships with Recreation Groups • Local Park/Campground on site • 5 Boat Launches • Recreation largely depends on nutrients/water • Crawfishing, Crabbing, Fishing, Hunting • Birding, Dog-training, Hiking

  4. Recreational Fishing • River introductions • Stocking • Clay borrow pit construction

  5. Crawfishing • 28 day opening has yielded 500,000+ pounds of recreationally harvested crawfish. • Accessible roads provide opportunities for all.

  6. All Terrain Vehicles • 900 acres of dedicated trails • Special-Use Permits allowed 30-day spillway-wide ATV use for recreational fishing following spillway opening.
