Run 12 Layout • Detector set: • ZDCs, BBC-Y, BBC-B, PreShower phase 1, Ecal phase-1, Hcal phase-2
Hcal Phase-2 (Run 12) Description: 20 additional Pb-fiber modules inserted between left and right Hcal enclosures from run 11 (phase-1) - Modules exist need to be tested - Sufficient low voltage channels for CW bases on additional modules exist in phase-1 setup Sufficient ADC channels for additional modules exist in current QT boards 24 additional RG-58 and 3 positronix spiders need to be purchased Support/lifting structures optional upgrade of low voltage system to computer control - Insert and mounts for central enclosures to be fabbed
Detector set: • ZDCs, BBC-Y, Ecal phase-1, MidY, PreShower phase 2, Ecal phase-2, Hcal phase-3
Mid-Y detector 80 channel scintilation counter - Scintillation plastic reused from run-11 preshower 40 additional PMTs and bases from E896 cache - 10 TACs 5 additional QT boards to be fabbed 40 additional RG58 & RG59 cables 20 additional positronics spiders - mounting stands need to be fabbed
PreShower Run 13 3 planes w/ 76 detectors each - scintillator to be purchased - pmts and bases from Yale 400 on hand – need testing - # TAC boards to be fabbed - #QT boards (3*76/32<8 to be fabbed (double for TACs) - cables and patch panels - 228 LV, 228 signal, 30 positronix to buy - 1 VME crate (negotiating w/ star) - MVME 2306 already obtained - stands need to be fabbed
Ecal run 13 1596 channels Glass at RHIC supplied by Jlab Need transmission tests 50 QT boards – to be fabbed 4 VME (9u) crates (negotiating w/ STAR? - 4 MVME 2306 processors Pmts supplied by Jlab need to test CW bases – to be fabbed prototype to BNL next week from Mike Ng - LV cables Cables – need 200 positronix BNC need patch panels - Stands and rail system to be fabbed
