The Department is committed to ensuring safe work environments for students and faculty engaged in field and laboratory activities. The Graduate Student Handbook and Safety Manual outline essential safety policies, including CPR and First Aid requirements. Hazardous activities like fieldwork, boating, and scuba diving mandate thorough preparation and adherence to safety protocols. Students should familiarize themselves with lab SOPs and ORCBS policies. For fieldwork, always work in pairs, carry communication devices, and prepare itineraries. Your safety is our priority.
