  1. North and South Arapahoe Peaks on the Continental Divide January 21-22, 2005 S Arapahoe (13,397’) N Arapahoe (13,502’)

  2. What a cozy snow cave!

  3. 3:15 am: time for oatmeal and hitting the trail! Gotta get to those peaks by sunrise.

  4. Pre-Sunrise Views Pikes Peak (100 miles away) Eldora Ski Resort

  5. Nice sunrise after 4 hours of climbing

  6. After summiting “Old Baldy” (13,038’) it is time for a real test – South Arapahoe via the ridgeline

  7. Now to traverse the Continental Divide over to North Arapahoe…It looks safe enough.

  8. Just a… and a jump skip hop

  9. 2 hours later the summit is mine!

  10. I should have brought the skis. I see a fast way down.

  11. It looks like a nice, level ridge to hike across…Marley, get the ropes out of the pack.

  12. Actually, I’d rather stay right here.

  13. Alright, let’s get going. I hate heights.

  14. With S. Arapahoe Peak well behind us it’s only 6 more miles to the car and then 6 more miles to the hot tub!
