First developments and fabrication of valves for industrial gases and fire suppression. Edgard Schmitz takes over the management of CEODEUX S.A. Development of the first valves for cylinders and carburation valves for Butane-Propane. Jean-Claude Schmitz enters the management of the company and starts an ambitious expansion plan. Creation of a specialized R&D department. Sales start on a European level. ROTAREX goes global. Creation of ROTAREX S.A., regrouping all the companies of the group including the historic Ceodeux. Businessunits are created in order to better serve the customers needs. Expansion of the sales network throughout Europe and opening of the first office in the USA, Pittsburgh PA. The Tube THE DIFFERENCE • Acts as a multi-sensor and multi extinguishing jet • When bursting at the hottest spot, it ruptures as a nozzle shaped opening • Made of a high-tech polymer • Combines - Long-time resistance - Flexibility - Temperature sensitivity • Autonomous system, no external power required The detection tube : A simple but revolutionary idea. The FireDeTec tube relies on a simple idea, detect the fire and extinguish it. The Tube, as well as our system, is developed and manufactured inhouse. It is made out of highly advanced polymers that will burst at the hottest spot and then starting the extinguishing process either on a direct or indirect manner. Thanks to its advanced characteristics, the Tube is a linear detection system that does not need any source of energy and can be submitted to harsh environments. It simply extinguishes the Fire in the most effective way, before the fire spreads.
