  2. Definition High-visibility clothing is a kind of personal protective equipment with highly reflective properties. Workers use high-vis garments to improve their visibility while working in low light conditions.

  3. Day-light visibility Employees from different professions often need to improve their visibility in day light. For instance, traffic wardens use particular high-vis clothes to optimize their visibility in good light conditions.

  4. Low-light visibility It is not safe to work in low-light with no PPC. Fluorescent fabric improves daytime visibility, reflective tape shoots light back at the source in the absence of natural light.

  5. Fabricsthat maintain fluorescent qualities after washing include polyester, nylon, and acrylic.

  6. Vests, bibs, and coveralls are made highly visible and can be used for a variety of applications.

  7. Functions High-visibility items allow workers to be seen by the drivers sooner and more readily.

  8. Cyclists also wear high-vis clothing when riding amongst motor vehicles. Hunters may be required to wear special high-vis clothing to prevent accidental shooting.
