Roots blowers have a unique mechanism and traditional use since a very long time. They have a mechanism which intakes the air from the inlet and rotates the dual impellers in different directions by trapping the air during rotation through the impeller by casing technique and then discharging it from the outlet.

  2. Roots Blowers Roots blowers have a unique mechanism and traditional use since a very long time. . Roots blowers are available in different designs and can come in twisted or straight form. Earlier they were mainly used for melting iron by using them in blast furnaces to blow combustion air.

Roots Blowers Function • Easily connectable as it mostly comes in standard pipe sizes. • Another feature of a root blower is that it has a ground steel shafts • The blower repair helps in the maintenance of the root blower. • It has an air cooler, air filter and a suction engine. • Blower repairs are mainly used when the machine gets jammed. • They have easily detachable steel mounting feet. • •Claw shaped rotors for high compression. • It is a one-piece rigid cast iron casing. • It has an anti-friction bearing feature. • • Consist of a thrust control panel.

The rotors in a roots blowers usually consist of straight lobes which do not come in contact with each other, a precision machined two-lobe impellers and a meshing lobes. • Root blowers consist of a gear wheel whose main function is to transmit rotational motion in the blowers. • The lobes in a root blower convey the fluid from the suctions side to that of the pressure side. • Root blowers are mostly used in cars and other manufacturing plants and is mainly used in superchargers as air pumps for internal combustion engines.
