  2. Purpose of this Presentation • Some students often find it difficult to transition from elementary school to middle school. • The goal of this presentation is to prepare students for upcoming challenges they may face in middle school.

  3. Tip #1: Be Prepared! • Have all the supplies ready that you need for each class daily because you will have a conduct log signature.

  4. Tip #2: Do not skip breakfast! • There is no snack breaks anymore. You may even have 2nd lunch.

  5. Tip #3: Use your Time Wisely • Do not use time to socialize in the hall. • Get the things you need from your locker. • Use the restroom. • Get to class. • If you have extra time, STUDY material or start on homework.

  6. Tip #4: Learn Computer Skills • In middle school, you are required to type papers and create presentations. • Learn how to use Microsoft Word and Power Point.

  7. Tip #5: Do NOT fall behind! • Do not procrastinate. You will have more assignments and more projects this year. • Do not wait until the last minute, because you will get overwhelmed.
